Treat Them Good

“In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you….”

Believe

But what does it say?  “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” – that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.” 

For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.”

The Books Are Balanced

And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach— if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

Not Who We Would Expect

 

As Jesus went from there, He saw a man called Matthew sitting in the tax collector’s booth; and He said to him, “Follow Me!”  And he got up and followed Him.

Not Always The Easy Way

 

Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.  For the gate is small and way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
