Not About Us, All About God

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

 

Destined For Salvation

But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation.  For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.

1 Thessalonians 5:8-10

 

The Blessings Go On And On

For in this case the saying is true, “One sows and another reaps.”

God Is Our Help

If the Lord had not been my help,

My soul would soon have dwelt in the abode of silence.

If I should say, “My foot has slipped.”

Your lovingkindness, O Lord, will hold me up.

When my anxious thoughts multiply with in me,

Be Confident

Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has great reward.  For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what was promised.

Hebrews 10:35-36

 

Not Worn Out, Renewed

 

Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.  For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

We are not worn out by life, we are renewed by God.
