Faulted For Everything

For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine, and you say, “He has a demon!” The Son of man has come eating and drinking and you say, “Behold a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!”

Luke 7:33-34

Those who want to find fault will find fault no matter what we do or say.  It is those who know nothing about God or Christianity who are first in line to say, "That's not very Christian." or "If that's the way Christians are, then I don't want to be one."

I think it is interesting that Christians are judged for their lack of worldly perfection using worldly standards.

We are not to flinch at unfounded criticism, but are to carry out the mission we have been given to take the Gospel to everyone, and everyone has a choice to either accept or reject the Gospel and that choice is not on us.

Keep on keeping on.
