Therefore,
my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but
much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,
for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.
Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and
innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted
generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the
word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in
vain or labor in vain.
Philippians
2:12-16
What
do we do when those in government have turned crooked and twisted? Do we stand by and let it go on or do we
stand up and fight for what is right? It
is not a question of being liberal or conservative; it’s a question of loving
and caring for all humanity.
We
stand up. We give those in power heck or
hell. We torment them day and
night. We become a thorn to them. We shout the Word of God.
When
what is good and righteous and innocent is twisted to be something wrong, it is
our job to take a club to the rhetoric and hammer home the truth of the Word of
God: God loves all people.
We
do not run in vain, we run to shine light.
