Say "Hello"

 

Greet one another with a holy kiss.

1 Galatians 13:12

A few years ago I was working at a supermarket and was instructed to smile and say "hello" to every customer.  Some cashiers did not like the rule, and some of us did not mind.

One of the cashiers, Marge, pointed out that it was important for us to speak to every customer, because for some customers we might be the only ones who talked to them that day.  She was right.  The world is populated by a lot of lonely people, and saying "hello" is a small thing that can make a big difference in someone's life.  

We may not change the world but greeting others cost us nothing and can do much to spread the joy of Christianity around.  

Just say “Hello.”
