Therefore, the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.
Isaiah 7:14
It seems silly that God would chose to reveal Himself to the world as a baby. He sent men, like Isaiah, to tell the world about Himself, but people did not listen. Then, at the right time He sent a tiny baby called Immanuel, which means “God with us,” to prove that He intended to claim us as His own.
When we ask Jesus to be our Lord, Master and Savior, our sins are forgiven and God claims us as His own.
