Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
Philippians 2:1-4
As Christians, we are to look beyond ourselves and our needs and to serve the greater community. We are to humbly serve others knowing that we can show the love of God by our actions.
Do not be shy about helping others, but boldly share, assist and treat others in a manner to improve their lives.
We are not working for our own glory but for the glory of God. The kindness we show, shows others the love of God, and can result in people coming to know Jesus.
