“But
I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless
those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” Luke 6:27.
Sometimes
people see Christians as an easy target.
They use snide remarks, vandalize our work, or make fun of us for going
home to our families after work. When
they get desperate for a reaction they say things like: “You think you are better than everybody else.”
They may physically come after us with a
shove disguised as an accident or not.
We
get as angry as anyone else when we are mistreated. The difference is that as Christians we have
a calling, which is to win others to Christ.
Dishing out bloody noses won’t fulfill this calling; living the life
will.
Now,
go do good.
