Do Something

Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby, fulfill the law of Christ.

Galatians 6:2

As Christians, we need to do more than just looking out for ourselves.  We need to be aware of the needs of those around us, whether they are Christians or not.  We are not to stand around watching people struggle if it is within our means to help them.

Jesus did not just walk by lepers and ignore their pleas for help, He healed them.  He fed the 5,000.  Jesus teaches us that there is more to life than being comfortable.

We don’t have to be rich to help others.  We can feed the poor at a soup kitchen or buy a sandwich for a homeless person who hangs out at a fast food restaurant or help a neighbor kid do his homework.  We can mow a neighbor’s lawn or give someone a ride to work when their car breaks down.  The possibilities are endless.

Open your eyes.  See what you can do to fulfill the law of Christ.
