God's Time

But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.  The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:8-9

When we pray for years for someone, we can become discouraged.  We want to see action right now.  It doesn’t matter if we are praying for a physical healing or deliverance from a substance abuse problem or for salvation of their soul.  We wait and wait and wait some more.

The Bible tells us that God’s timetable is not our timetable.  God is patient and He will do all He has promised.

So, let us wait prayerfully, knowing God is faithful.
