Righteous Indignation

Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

James 1:19-20

For some of us, like me, we are quick to fire off our mouth when we hear something or see something we do not like.  We can get angry quickly and, sometimes this gets us in trouble.  It may cost us friendships when a disagreement escalates.

Knowing we are inclined to do this requires some extra effort on our part to remain silent and think before we speak.

It is about recognizing that the righteous indignation of man does not product the righteousness of God.
