Jesus
said, “And who of you by being worried can add a single day to his life?”
“So
do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Matthew
6:27, 34
Anxiety
is paralyzing. It destroys our ability
to do the things we need to do. It
creates a barrier between us and those we care about, and us and God, who cares
for us.
Worry
does not solve anything, and can make things much worse because when we are
worrying we are not working on anything positive.
The
cure for worry is activity – prayer, thanksgiving and doing what needs to be
done.
Stop
stewing and start cooking.
