God Is Listening

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 

And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

1 John 5:14-15

I heard a pastor say that he could not understand why when people pray they speak louder and more boldly than they do in everyday conversation.  I think it is because they have this confidence:  God is listening. 

When we come before God in prayer we do not have to mince words.  We can boldly share what is troubling us.  We can ask for help without fear of rebuttal.  We can ask for blessing for our loved ones.  We can ask whatever we want to ask.  And, we can thank God for His mercy and love. 

And, if we like we can do a little dance before God because of the joy we have knowing that God is listening.
