We Are Comforted And We Comfort Others

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our afflictions so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

We all face some difficult times.  My husband and I faced infertility issues and adopted two children via international adoptions.  It was a long process.  We read hundreds of articles and wrote letters to countless adoption agencies, before we found Bethany International Adoptions, which was as interested in us as we were in them.

In the years after our children arrived, we received telephone calls from people who wanted to adopt children, but were not sure where to start.  Many of the calls were from strangers.  We shared information about our adoption agency, Bethany International Adoptions, and information regarding other adoption agencies.

We did not have all the answers but those we talked to were comforted because they knew we had experienced the same things they were experiencing.

At all times God is there to comfort us, so that we may in turn comfort others.
