The Power Of God

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted.”

I Samuel 17:45

Guns and knives and bows and arrows are the weapons of men against men.  Someone prevails, but in the end the victory is hollow because the battle never ends using guns and knives and bows.  The hearts of men are not changed, only the domination of man over man and so the battle continues. 

David prevailed over Goliath, not because of his great strength but because God was on his side.  The victory though small was epic in that the Philistines hearts were changed when they recognized the power of God over all things.  Why else would a mighty army run away?  

No earthly power can stand against the power of God the Almightly. 

Fight the good fight, God is on your side.
