White As Snow

“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are as scarlet,
They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They will be like wool.”

Isaiah 1:18

There are people who think they are too bad for God to love, but that is not what the Bible says.  Jesus came for everyone.  When God looks at us, He does not see degrees of sin.  He sees masses of humanity in need of a Savior.

Jesus is our Savior.  He loves us and if we confess that we are sinners, ask His forgiveness, and invite Him to be our Lord, Master and Savior, He will forgive us and give us eternal life.

And, then we will be white as snow.

Fishing for Tax Dollars

When they came to Capernaum, those who collected the two-drachma tax came to Peter and said, “Does your teacher not pay the two-drachma tax?”

He said, “Yes.”  And when he came into the house, Jesus spoke to him first, saying, “What do you think, Simon?  From whom do the kings of the earth collect customs or poll-tax, from their sons or from strangers?”

When Peter said, “From strangers,” Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are exempt.  However, so that we do not offend them, go to the sea and throw in a hook, and take the first fish that comes up; and when you open its mouth, you will find a shekel.  Take that and give it to them for you and Me.”

Matthew 17:24-27

While many people complain about paying income taxes, I have a friend who says, “I am glad to pay income taxes because for a while I was so poor that I did not pay any income taxes and that was not a good time.  Now, I have money and I am blessed to pay taxes.”

I hope you are so blessed.

Keep On Keeping On

Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

The Peace Of Christ

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

You Are Valuable

Jesus said,

“Are not five sparrows sold for two cents?  Yet not one of them is forgotten before God.  Indeed the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.”

Luke 12:6-7

Do Not Fear, God Is With You

But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel,
“Do no fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name; you are Mine!
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.”

“For I am the Lord Your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I have given Egypt as your ransom,
Cush and Seba in Your place.
Since you are precious in My sight,
Since your are honored and I love you,
I will give other men in Your place and other peoples
In exchange for your life.
Do not fear, for I am with you….”

Isaiah 43:1-5
