Again and Again

Jesus said:

“Be on your guard!  If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents forgive him.  And if he sins against you seven times a day, and he returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ forgive him.”

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

Luke 17:3-5

I think, at this moment, the apostles realized how much Jesus loved them and what they must do if they were to be true disciples of His.  Being a disciple was more than following Jesus around, it was giving others all the love and compassion they could muster. 

And, this is an example of God’s unending love for us.  Even if we mess up and sin, we can come to Him and ask forgiveness and He will forgive us, again and again and again.
