When We Are Sleeping

 

I will bless the Lord who has counseled me;

Indeed, my mind instructs me in the night.

I have set the Lord continually before me;

Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices;

My flesh will dwell securely.

For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol;

Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.

You will make known to me the path of life;

In Your presence is fullness of joy;

In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

Psalm 16:7-11

The great thing about God is that He cares about what we care about.  I think that is why sometimes when we are troubled about something and don't know what to do, that we wake up one morning and know exactly what it is that we are to do.  

This is because even when we are sleeping God is ministering to us and revealing to us His purpose.  

We can trust this:  God is always with us and will never abandon us.

In God's hands are pleasures forever.
