“There
came a woman of Samaria to draw water.
Jesus said to her, “Give Me drink.”… Therefore the Samaritan woman said
to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a
Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no
dealings with Samaritans.)” John 4: 7, 9
If
you are from northwest Ohio, you know that you say “hi” to everyone and that’s
where the conversation often ends.
Jesus
engaged the Samaritan woman in a discussion and He brought her to a place where
she recognized that He was the Son of God.
Perhaps we need to step out of our comfort zone a little bit, and engage
in conversation with strangers we meet.
If we do, we may find an opportunity to share the good news of Jesus.
