you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men…”
Colossians 3:23
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., spoke of the dignity of
work when he said, “If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he
should sweep streets even as a Michelangelo painted….”
Today, as we honor Dr. King let us remember to take
pride and joy in our work, whatever it may be.
We are not just serving man, we are serving the Lord.
