“Behold
I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and
innocent as doves.” Matthew 10:16
Jesus
warns us against thinking that because we are His followers that everyone will
honor and respect us for our beliefs and actions. Even though we are humble and meek, we need
to keep our guard up against those who would like to destroy us.
The
best defense is a good offense.
