When
the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, “Why is your Teacher eating
with the tax collectors, and sinners?”
But
when Jesus heard this, He said, “It is not those who are healthy who need a
physician, but those who are sick. But
go and learn what this means: I desire
compassion and not sacrifice, for I did not come to call the righteous, but
sinners.”
Matthew
9: 11-13
Something
awesome is happening. For years there
has been an application to put the Bible on smart phones. In the last week or two the world discovered
the Bible App.
I
don’t know about you, but I am seeing people who I never, ever thought had a
clue about Jesus posting Bible scriptures on the internet.
One
part of me wants to yell “Halleluiah” and another part wants to yell, “They
don’t have a clue!” because the next minute they will post some disgusting
video, picture or comment.
That’s
when I remember that Jesus came to call sinners. Every time a non-believer reads the Bible,
the door to salvation swings open for them.
