When Times Get Tough, Dance

“And David was dancing before the Lord with all his might….”

2 Samuel 6:14

It is easy to get bogged down and long faced when earthly problems weight us down.  I know we face serious problems and I do not intend to make light of this.  But we serve a risen Savior, Jesus Christ, who promises to see us through all our difficulties and we need to act like it.

This being said, for the sake of our mental health and for our children and grandchildren, we need to lighten up and have some fun.  We don’t have to spend money or need fancy clothes.  We only need to spend time doing what we can to show that we have hope.

Kids like to do things that are free.  They like to play cards.  They like to go to the park and run around.  My granddaughter likes to throw rocks into the river.

When we depart this earth the greatest testimony we can leave for our children and our grandchildren is how we respond when life gets tough.  No matter what, we have time and love to share, and we can have some fun.

Now, go ahead and dance.
