For
the grace of God has appeared, bring salvation to all men….”
Titus
2:11
The
grace of God refers to God’s respect for undeserving human beings. We are all sinful and in our natural state
separated from God. God exercises grace
as He sees fit. Rather than melding out all the punishment we are due, God waits
for us to respond to His grace.
The
second part of God’s grace is His gift of salvation to those who respond to His
grace, and His promise of eternal life.
Grace is more than God extending a way out to us; it is His continued
work in redeeming us, restoring us, sanctifying us, and preserving us for
eternity.
