God Does What Is Best

And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us.

1 John 5:14

The question of unanswered prayer stalks believers because there are always people who will give us and God a hard time because they say God does not answer their prayers.  It all boils down to trust.  Do we trust God?  If we say “yes” then we can believe that God knows much more than we do about the future and that what we perceive as unanswered prayers are unanswered for a reason.  God sees the big picture and we only see a small part of it: the me here, now part.

It is at these times that we need to trust God the most.  We cannot undo anything, but we can believe that through it all God will be with us and provide for us.  And, when things are especially difficult that is the time when God moves in the most surprising ways. 

God hears us when we pray and He is doing what is best.
