So
then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only,
but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and
trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and work for His
good pleasure.
Philippians
2:13
Did
you ever wonder why we struggle? We struggle
with a bad patch in our marriage, or a bad boss, or health problems, or financial
problems, or any number of annoying faith testing issues, none of which make sense
to us.
I
do not always handle trials well. I have
questioned God, “Hey, God I’m a good person.
I belong to You. I have given my
heart and life to You, and this is what I get?”
This
attitude shows up when I lose sight of the big picture, that being that it
is not about me being comfortable, it is about God working in me.
