The
Apostle Paul said,
“In
view of this, I also do my best to maintain always a blameless conscience both
before God and before man.”
Acts
24:16
The
Apostle Paul started out persecuting Christians. He was Saul, who guarded the robes of the men
who stoned Stephen (Acts 7:58). Then Saul became Paul when he became a Christian
after meeting the risen Christ (Acts 9).
The Apostle Paul left behind his old life and became an itinerant
preacher who carried the Gospel to regions throughout the Mid-East and to Rome.
In all his boldness, Paul never forgot
that except for the grace of God, he was no better than any other man, and that
the best he could do for God was his best.
And,
that is why Paul said, “… I also do my best to maintain always a blameless
conscience both before God and before man.”
