Now
we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength and
not just please ourselves. Each of us is
to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.
Romans
15:1-2
Not
all Christians are on equal footing in dealing with difficulties they
face. While one may seem to be scarcely
be fazed by a diagnosis of a life threatening disease, another might fall apart
when faced with a broken tooth.
It
is not that the latter is especially weak; it is that we all have different
strengths. This being said, we need to
show some consideration to those who are struggling, whether the struggle is
over something we view as a small matter or a great matter.
We
are to bear with each other, and strive to help each other in the best of times
and in the worst of times, and at all times.
For
although we are strong today, tomorrow we might be the one who is weak, and who
needs someone to encourage us; and those who we edify today, may be the ones
who God sends to minister to us.
