Make It A Treat

“In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you….”

Matthew 7:12

When Jesus said we are to treat people the same way we want to be treated He was setting a high standard.   

No one wants to be treated badly.  True some of us would prefer to not be treated at all, but that is another story.  The challenge is to think about our actions and our words and to weigh them on the scales of kindness and fairness.  We can work on our delivery so that when we must say something that the receiver may find difficult to receive, that we will do so with kindness.  And, when commendation is due, be it for a good school report card or for doing something right, we can give praise where praise is do.

We are not doing this to receive the same, but we are doing it because it is the right thing to do.
