“The
backslider in heart will have his fill of his own ways, but a good man will be
satisfied with his.” Proverbs 14:14
We
are hesitant to approach people who are living openly sinful lives because we
think that they are satisfied with their state of being. We should not make this assumption. This scripture speaks of the discomfort they
may feel.
Those
who fall from grace have a rough time coming to grips with the idea that God
still loves them. Our lives are not just
about our mistakes, our lives are about our ability to turn away from sin and
back to God.
We
need to take the Gospel to these lost people and extend the hand of fellowship
to them. They may not take it, but it is
important that they know that God’s grace is still for them.
