Speak Up

“How blessed are those who keep justice,
Who practice righteousness at all times!”
Psalm 106:3

It is almost always easier to keep our mouths shut when we see injustice.

Speaking up sometimes involves embarrassment and might cost us some friends.  The problem is that if we say nothing then nothing will change.  It takes courage to speak up when we see someone mistreating another person.

As terrible as it sounds, sometimes people are so insensitive to other people that they don’t even realize that they are treating people unfairly.  When we point out the injustice, it gives those people an opportunity to change their behavior.

If we do not speak up, who will?
