Not Our Problem To Fix

So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.  Therefore, let us not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this – not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother’s way.

Romans 14:12-13

There is no bigger landmine to a new believer than to encounter Christians who want to fix him or her.  Yes, the new believer may look to be a mess – wrong clothes, wrong words, wrong lifestyle, wrong, wrong, wrong.

This is not our problem to fix.  For us fixing a new believer is like teaching a new born baby to eat with a spoon.  It’s not going to happen.

Our job is to treat new believers with tenderness – to welcome them, to pray for them, and to encourage them to read the Bible and to pray.  If they need fixed, God will do the fixing.

God is the Master of the life makeover, and all we have to do is stay out of His way.
