Whatever
you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing
that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
Colossians
3:23-24
How
about that? Every job is worth doing
well and every job has value to the Lord.
That clears up the matter of what jobs are more important than others. It sounds like working at McDonald's is as
honorable as being the CEO of General Electric.
What is important is that whatever job we are doing, that we do it well
and we do it in a manner which honors God.
Earthly
rewards are good, but they cannot compare to the heavenly payday we have coming.
