What We Were, We Are No More

“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?  Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.  Such were some of you; but you were sanctified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.”  I Corinthians 6:9-11

In as much as the scripture may condemn us for our sin, it also offers a means of forgiveness.  God is not interested in watching us self-destruct.  He is interested in our deliverance into His kingdom.   Jesus is the way to God.  When we accept Jesus as our Lord, Master and Savior, our sins are forgiven and we become new people and the heirs of the Kingdom of God.

What we were, we are no more.  We are sons and daughters of God.
